After researching into various comics strips, contemporary and from the 1950s, I soon realised that there was a basic pattern to all comics strips and began thinking about themes and ideas for my own comic strip. I based the theme on Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast but interpreted it in my own way, I used the style from the comic Peanuts, which has famous characters such as Snoopy and Charlie Brown, to re-create my characters. I thought this simple style was suitable because the story is mainly read by young children therefore the images can't be too comlicated or overly busy in each scene.
