I'm an art student mainly creating photography based pieces combined with graphics and other media. I'm currently trying to develop my skills to expand on my specialist practise in order to create unique and original pieces of work.

Photo Transfer
This process was successful in my opinion because the final outcome was a clear image that had a good contrast between the dark and light areas. I enjoyed this process because it used my strongest media, photography, and combined it with printmaking. The two tones works well because it is bold and stands out but doesn't take away the attention from the actual image, therefore the attention is still engaged.
I did a positive print twice, first one with fresh ink and the second with the remaining ink that was on the plate, I believe the first one work best because it's got a stronger contrast to the second one which makes a bolder statement than the other one does. Although it isn't as strong, it's has a sense of elegance and softness to the image which reflects the delicate elements that flowers and plants have.
I also did a positive print of the plate using black ink, which I believe didn't come out as well because it's too dark and the image has become distaughted therefore it is unclear. The blue ink from the previous print must have still been on the plate because it has come through underneath, this adds interest to the image but due to the unclear outcome, I would say this piece is unsuccessful.
