Dry point etching

I began by creating an image on an aluminium plate and then inked up the plate and this was the outcome, I wasnt too happy with it because it wasn't visually interesting because the composition was very plain.
I then decided to junk up the plate again with a different colour to see if it would make a difference. Although the image is brighter it didn't make up for the fact that the composition is still plain.
I etched into the plate a bit more to create a better composition and inked the plate up once again, I believe this piece is better due to the development in the image. I learnt from this that I need to push myself to develop an image as far as possible and not to stay in my comfort zone. The print isn't as clear as I had hoped which I think is because of the uneven layer of ink that I'd put on the plate but overall I am fairly happy with this print in comparison to the other ones.
