Sergey Shapiro is a typographer who has a very clean and defined style, he has a variety of fonts but the ones shown above caught my eye most mainly because they are quite loose in the quality of line but also have a classy edge to them. The use of pen in two of them are effective because they give a variety in lines which makes the font more visually interesting than if the weight of the line remained constant. The 'Brotherly love' font is effective because of the use of negative, the black backgrounf defines the lines of the font making it bold although the weight of the line is quite thin.
